Sports Rehabilitation/Physiotherapy

We work along side individuals experiencing pain, injury or illness involving the musculoskeletal system.

We help people of all ages to maintain their health and fitness, recover from and prevent injury and reduce pain using exercise, movement and manual based therapeutic interventions.

Sports Massage

Sports massage caters to athletic individuals of all types even those who exercise regularly and have an active lifestyle. Sports massage is focused on certain areas of the body. It uses a combination of deep and light manual mobilisations and manipulation of soft tissues to loosen muscle knots (trigger points), improve blood flow and prevent lactic acid build up.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a treatment performed by skilled and trained therapists certified in the procedure. “Dry” in the sense that they do not inject anything into the body.
A thin monofilament needle penetrates the skin and treats underlying muscular trigger points for the management of neuromuscular pain and movement impairments.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology tape (K Tape) is a therapeutic tape that’s applied strategically to the body to provide support, lessen pain, reduce swelling and improve performance. K tape is a blend of cotton and nylon. It’s designed to mimic the skins elasticity so you can use your full range of motion.

Electrotherapy

One of the most common electrotherapy treatments, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). Makes use of small devices that sent out of electrodes electrical impulses. These signals then block or interfere with the body’s pain signals, leading to reduced pain.

Ultrasound Therapy

Therapeutic Ultrasound uses a deep heating effect on different tissues, boosting circulation and to stimulate the healing process. This method makes use of a transducer instead of electrode pads and is often used to treat strains, tendinitis and knee meniscus tears.

Exercise Rehabilitation & Programs

This is the process of enhancing and regaining full normal function following an injury or physical impairment, through correcting body mechanics and posture. It aims to restore overall strength and mobility of the affected body site.

Video Consultations

Video consultations are appointments that take place between a patient and a clinician via video link, as opposed to a face to face meeting or over the telephone. Video Consultations in some instances are of more benefit and convenience for the patient.
