Whereas gradual onset of pain on the arch of the foot can be Plantar Fasciitis. Tenderness is most commonly experienced along the medial aspect of the arch especially at the insertion of the heel.

Another common course of ankle pain can be within the Achilles’ tendon to the rear of the ankle. The ankle is another region of potential referral pain from the lower back. Further factors to consider when tending to ankle pain include training surface and footwear.

“If pain continues to persist after a few days or weeks, or for more serious injuries, it is best to see a health care professional to advise you further on appropriate rehabilitation.”
