Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology tape (K Tape) is a therapeutic tape that’s applied strategically to the body to provide support, lessen pain, reduce swelling and improve performance.
K tape is a blend of cotton and nylon. It’s designed to mimic the skins elasticity so you can use your full range of motion. The tapes medical grade adhesive is also water-resistant and strong enough to stay on for 3-5 days, even whilst you work out or take a shower.
When it is applied to your body it recoils slightly, gently lifting your skin. It is believed that this helps to create a microscopic space between skin unloading the tissues beneath it, changing the signals going to the brain. K tape can be used for the following:
– Rehabilitating injuries as part of a treatment plan
– Increase circulation
– Reduction in pain levels
– Adding extra support to weak zones of muscles or joints
– Re-educating muscles to help correct posture
– Enhancing performance and protecting against injury
– Managing Scars
– Reduction of oedema or swelling
